Voriagh is a parisian gothic-chic prêt-à-porter brand, created by the Steindler sisters in 2008. Olivia and Vivien Steindler who were born in Germany are of Italo-German descent and moved to Paris and became real Parisians. Both are classically trained professional violinists.... but let's talk Voriagh itself about it's own history.
As a well defined brand that was inspired by the romanticism of Paris, Voriagh illustrates a rebellious and nonconformist image. The brand invokes gothic-chic style codes without falling into the realm of unnecessary excess. Gaining world wide recognition from various press, critics have recognized Voriagh as "noir-sublime" but "easy to wear".
"We actually inverted the usual way to proceed, we first met customers before looking for larger distribution. That way, we could create in a totally independent way "coup de coeur" creations, reflecting exactly the image of what we love, without being influenced by Fashion market.
From the opening of our first parisian boutique, we see daily, how much our clients are impressed and inspired with our designs."
Voriagh is indeed a brand with a very strong identity, which continues to seduce women of all ages as a bespoke label that has emerged from talented and creative sisters Vivien and Olivia Steindler.
"Voriagh designs bring us back to our own rebellion, to our teenage... back to Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Patty Smith, NIN but also Aerosmith, ACDC, the Jefferson Airplane, Radiohead, David Bowie but still with it's own interpretation: the essence of inspiration like nature, disenchantment, melancholy but also hope and ambition..."
"We go farer than just imitate the young teenage rebellion... we remember why we were like this one day..."
